The conventional dental implant (two / three-piece crestal implants) is an artificial tooth root that is placed into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge, which requires more complex procedures and is time-consuming and also the relation between the root portion and the abutment portion can present problems due to higher mechanical stress under oblique loading.
The Single-dental-implant also is known as Immediate Load Basal implants or Simpladent Implant helps the implantologist in treating a wide variety of cases that cannot be attempted with the conventional two / three-piece crestal implants. These high-tech prostheses are actually more tooth-saving than traditional bridgework since implants do not rely on neighboring teeth for support. As per the available scientific evidence, natural teeth absorb a great amount of biting pressure – approximately 540 lbs/sq. inch. On the contrary, those who are wearing dentures can hardly absorb more than 10 percent of this pressure.
